Vocational education to benefit ALL 2.5 bln in 2018 from gov’t, EU funds
Over ALL 2 billion 454 million is the budget that will go for vocational education in 2018.
According to the government’s budget draft, which is expected to be adopted in parliament, from this fund more than ALL 504 million are expected go for capital expenditures and ALL 1.3 billion will go for salaries.
In addition to the government budget, secondary vocational education will benefit funds at the level of almost ALL 800 million in the form of grants given mainly by the Italian government and the European Union for next year.
Every year the budget for vocational education has been increasing, during 2017 it has increased by 35% and investments for this year have doubled. Over the past 3 years, 33 vocational schools and 10 vocational training centers were invested.
According to the data from the Directory of Vocational Training, the most requested branches are Hotel-Tourism, Mechanics, Information Services and Technology, while the most preferred profiles are Wood Processing, Construction and Agriculture.
In recent years, new branches have also been opened, such as Naval, Geology-Mines, Oil and Gas exploration and exploitation.
