What did the Albanians wear during the pandemic? “Made in Greece” replaces Turkey, Italy and China
Albanians are wearing much less “Made in Turkey” clothes in 2020. According to the latest data from the Institute of Statistics on Annual Foreign Trade, in total, the import of textiles and shoes from Turkey has decreased by 1.8 billion ALL, compared to the period January – December 2019.
Instat shows that the total value of this item imported from Turkey was 18.1 billion ALL in 2019, while in 2020, this value fell to 16.3 billion ALL.
In fact, what is noticed is that in Albania, in the pandemic year, not only less textiles and shoes “Made in Turkey” have entered, but also “Made in Italy”, or “Made in China”. Specifically, Albanians have wearing 18% less clothes from Italy, 14% less clothes from China, and 10% less clothes from Turkey.
