21 new cases in Tirana – The persons infected are health personnel and patients at QSUT

In the daily communication of the Ministry of Health, it has been announced that during the last 24 hours 262 citizens have been tested where 21 new cases have been positive, bringing the total number of infected people in 1050 throughout the country.

The new cases are all in Tirana, of which 13 cases in QSUT, health personnel and patients. 9 of the infected are asymptomatic and 4 patients have been admitted to the infectious disease hospital.

In the last 24 hours, 9 patients have recovered, but there are still 205 active cases. Currently, 25 patients are hospitalized in two Covid hospitals, 3 of which are in intensive care, while the other cases are being monitored by the family doctor.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection appeals to citizens to continue to respect physical distance and maintain personal hygiene, as well as for the opened businesses to strictly observe safety protocols.
