Just 5.4% of four foreign investments realized in January-April period
Four projects funded by foreign institutions have had a total realization of 5.4 percent in the first four months of this year.
At least this is what is stated in the report of the Ministry of Urban Development on the progress of budget spending.
For 2017, 193 million were planned in foreign investment funds but the actual implementation has been only 10.3 million. The Ministry has also provided details about each of the projects.
The first is that for “the integrated and sustainable development of the coastal zone, GIZ” which provided 70.8 million, while up to April were realized only 10.3 million.
Second on the list is the project “Drafting the master plan in the field of waste” of the German bank which foresees 46 million.
The agreement was signed by the Albanian government and the German bank as well as an international consultant.
The Ministry of Urban Development notes that the third project related to infrastructure and economic development and funded by the World Bank is expected to invest some 74.7 million in Albania.
The agreement has been approved and implementation is expected to be done by the Albanian Development Fund, but the planned funds will be reallocated to another project.
The last is a project for social housing funded by CEB or Council of Europe Bank which foresees 1.5 million.
The loan for this project is slated to end in 2017, while for the second phase contracts were signed with 126 beneficiaries of apartments.
