64 new cases with Covid / 2 patients passed away in the last 24 hours

In the daily communication of the Ministry of Health, it has been announced that during the last 24 hours 371 citizens have been tested where 64 new cases have been positive, bringing to 2465 the total number of infected people throughout the country.

The new cases are respectively: 15 cases in Tirana, 13 cases in Kruja, 11 cases in Shkodra, 7 cases in Durrës, 4 cases in Lezha, 3 cases in Kukës and Puka, 2 cases in Kurbin and 1 case in Korça, Elbasan, Mat, Vlora, Pogradec and Berat.

Currently, 84 patients are hospitalized in two Covid hospitals, 11 of which are in intensive care and 2 in intubation, while other cases are being monitored by the family doctor.

The Ministry of Health has announced that during the last 24 hours, two patients aged 78 and 83 have died as a result of other concomitant diseases.

During the last 24 hours, 54 patients have recovered, bringing their total number to 1438 and there are still 970 active cases.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection appeals to citizens to continue to respect physical distancing and maintain personal hygiene..
