868 thousand Albanians with residence permits in the EU! Declined by 4.83% compared to 2014

There are 868 thousand Albanians who have a residence permit in one of the countries of the European Union, until the end of 2019, according to the latest data published by the European Statistics Office (EUROSTAT). This figure puts us in 6th place in the world, accounting for about 4% of the total residence permits issued by European authorities.

For 2019, the figures signal that the vast majority of Albanians with residence permits, more precisely 90.8% of the total is concentrated in only two countries: Italy in the first place, and Greece. Germany closes the trio, with a total of 43 thousand residence permits for Albanians, which translates into 4.9% of the total.
