Air flights on the rise, 192.938 passengers traveled in May

Around 1820 flights were performed in May 2017 in the air transport industry, marking an increase of 7.3%, compared to the end of May 2016.

According to data issued by INSTAT, the first five months in 2017 saw 8696 flights performed, increasing by 6.7% compared with the same period a year ago.

In May, the number of passengers who traveled with the airlines was 192 938, up 19.1%, compared to May 2016.

In the first five months of 2017, the number of passengers who travel by air lines was 890 742, increasing by 21.4% compared with the same period a year ago.

Passenger air transport during this period occupies the largest share with 71.2% of the total.
