Albania becoming a main Italian tourist destination: ANSA

Albania is now becoming a favorite tourist destination for tourists from around the world. 

The Italian news agency ANSA.it writes that Albania is becoming quite attractive even for Italians.

Listed as one of the 10 destinations of 2016 by Rough Guides, the country also appears in the summer catalogues of the Alpitour Group, which suggests Vlora, Saranda and historical tours.

The Economic Development Ministry Milva Ekonomi reacted in a posting on the social network Facebook: “In 2016 we had a tourist boom, 15% more than in 2015. Income from tourism amounted to 1.5 billion euro, while the weight that the sector holds in the GDP is 7%.” 

“This year we hope that this inflow will be even greater, but above all we must provide quality services to tourists so that they come back again,” Ekonomi stressed.
