Albania drops to the 83rd spot in the Global Entrepreneurship Index 2018
Albania has seen a decline even this year in the global index of entrepreneurship, dropping from its 80th place in ranking, to the 83rd place, among 137 different economies around the globe.
These are at least the results of the Global Entrepreneurship Index 2018, according to which Albania collects 24.2 points.
This index measures data on entrepreneurship, skills and aspirations by weighing them against the social and economic infrastructure of each country, including transport lines with other countries or the communication network.
The general index also contains 14 sub-indicators based on different categories.
Global Entrepreneurship Index 2018 is measured by the Global Institute for Development and Entrepreneurship.
However, in 2014 Albania held the 72nd spot in the global ranking.
Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Armenia are the three countries with the worst performance in Europe.
As far as the sub-indicators are concerned – in total there are 14 – Albania appears with several views.
A better performance is reported in terms of start-up skills, while the worst performance is in terms of risk acceptance.
