Albania-Kosovo economic relations still hampered by barriers: Enterpreneurs
Economic cooperation between Albania and Kosovo has been the talk of the town recently in both countries. But business representatives from both countries claim that the problems are many, while adding that trade is now facing some non-tariff barriers.
For these issues, concrete examples were given by Alban Zusi, exporter entrepreneur and according to him it is easier to cooperate with the EU countries’ markets, rather than Kosovo.
While the Chair of Kosovo’s American Chamber of Commerce, Arian Zeka, said that problems should be solved with understanding and that dialogue has always been in place.
The President of the American Chamber of Commerce of Albania, Genti Daci required from the government in Tirana to take measures to alleviate taxes, so that they are in the level with Kosovo, Macedonia and Montenegro.
Business representatives from the two countries met in Tirana at the conference “Aspiration for a Common Albania-Kosovo Market”, organized by the American Chamber of Commerce of Albania and the American Chamber of Commerce of Kosovo, in cooperation with the “Monitor” magazine.
