Albania, Kosovo boast the lowest taxes on salaries in the region: IMF

Albania is the country that has the lowest tax burden for employers among the six Western Balkan countries after Kosovo, says a recent study by the International Monetary Fund, referring to Eurostat data.
In Albania, the tax burden is fixed at just over 25%, the graph shows.
For Kosovo, the rate is fixed at just under 10%.
Albania is followed by Macedonia, with a rate of about 32%, Serbia at 38% and Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina at 40%.
Only Kosovo, Albania and Macedonia among the countries of the region have a difference with other countries, mainly European ones, as Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia are close to or even above the continent’s average.
The graph does not apply to all types of salaries, as some countries implement progressive taxation.
For study purposes, the basic salary was one equal to 67% of the average salary of each country.
