Albania still hostage to old politics: Tarifa at “Argument”

Former Albanian ambassador to the US and rector of New York University in Tirana, Fatos Tarifa, was the guest of the weekly economic and political talk-show “Argument” hosted by journalist Enio Civici.

Asked about the impact of the political crisis and boycott of parliament in the normal development and progress of Albania, Tarifa said that “Albania tries not to be as before. In these 26 years, the country has made a lot of progress in its economic development, and in creating a stable political system.”

“Albania is facing enormous difficulties, and it will hardly pass this stage in its political and legal development, and I fear that it will remain to remain hostage to old policies, to an old psychology, and I am sorry for this.”
