Albanians, at the top of the pyramid of European citizenship! Eurostat: Only Moroccans are left behind
Albanians are second on the list of “trinomial” that has acquired the citizenship of a European Union country for 2019. These data come from the latest Eurostat report, which shows that out of 41,700 in total, the dominance of citizenships of acquired are Italian. Specifically, 62%.
Meanwhile, Morocco is first on the list, with 66,800 people, of whom 84% acquired Spanish, Italian, or French citizenship.
In third place, according to Eurostat data, are the British, with a total of 29,800 people. Of this total, 75% acquired German, Swedish or French citizenship.
Among other things, Eurostat speaks of an increasing number of persons who acquired the citizenship of a European Union country, compared to the previous year. According to the data, there were a total of 706,400 people who received EU citizenship in 2019, up from 672,300 people in 2018.
