Business Visits in Albania – This year’s trend compared to last year

The most recent statistics of the Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) in the country show a significant increase in the number of foreigners who visited Albania for business purposes or for professional reasons.

The number of foreign nationals who entered Albania for business or professional purposes during the previous month (August 2018) is 6,888. Last year, in August this number was 5,943. So, during August 2018 there were 943 more entries or an increase of 15.9%.

The trend of rising inflows is also observed in the 8-month period, January-August. Referring to INSTAT data, in January-August 2018 for in Albania were 54,778 entries. Compared with the same period of the previous year (January-August 2017), this 8-month increase is 9,405 more or 20.7%.
