Constitutional Court keeps hunting moratorium in force

The Constitutional Court dismissed the request handed by the National Hunting Federation and the Association of Guns and Materials Traders who demanded “repealing as incompatible with the Constitution of the Republic of Albania of the Law No. 61, dated 06.02.2016 “On the announcement of moratorium hunting in the Republic of Albania”.

After reviewing and analyzing the claims submitted by the applicants, as well as the arguments of interested parties, the Constitutional Court decided to reject the complaint.

The moratorium on hunting was adopted on June 2, 2016 and will be in force until 2021.
