DP’s Basha urges small businesses to oppose their introduction into the VAT regime

The head of the Democratic Party Lulzim Basha met with owners and employees of small businesses in the city Kavaja, who expressed their opposition to the introduction of the VAT payment scheme, since according to them this will lead to bankruptcy due to increased spending.
Small business representatives in this city stated that their introduction into the VAT regime will force them to raise prices, which means that consumption will fall and they will lose their customers.
DP leader Basha during a conversation with the owner of a pizzeria said that this project should be stopped:
“You are a majority. Most businesses are small. These are a minority, a minority of the government, 20% of Albanians voted them, and the VAT increase for the small businesses is being made on the account of 10 oligarchs. The key here is to unite. If we unite, they are left nothing to do. They will be forced to retreat,” Basha said.
With another entrepreneur, Basha said that his reuqest was to exclude from the VAT scheme businesses under ALL 12 million.
“We want businesses under ALL 12 million a year to not pay VAT at all. Put the mark at the door, work, serve the people, so that you can sell consumer goods at reasonable prices, and you can earn your bread, because you work only for bread, don’t you?”
