Fiscal administration signs 1200 agreements with businesses over back taxes
All businesses that have unpaid tax liabilities can settle them in installments.
This initiative of the Tax Administration is expected to ease a lot of ventures that have liquidity problems, and is also expected to improve its own financial situation.
The Director of the Tax Debt Collection Borjana Shaka said during an interview on SCAN TV that so far this administration has entered into 1200 agreements with enterprises for payment of tax liabilities in installments.
“To enter into an installment agreement, the taxpayer must first document their financial situation from the point of view of difficulties and the reasons why the obligation has not been paid, as well as the opportunities that it has or will have to pay off this obligation. Of course, it is very important to keep track of installments, repayment of current liabilities and payment within the deadlines. Currently we have about 1,200 installment agreements. During the anti-informality campaign, a total of 200 installment agreements have been concluded.”
The agreements are signed by the taxpayers and the director of the regional tax office only if the taxpayers immediately pay 20% of the value of the obligation to which the installment payment agreement relates.
Subsequently, the Tax Administration interrupts the measures of forced collection of tax liabilities.
