Fiscalization to Reduce Corruption – US Chamber of Commerce: It Reduces Informality in the Economy and Tax Evasion, Call for Implementation

The fiscalization process has brought together the American Chamber of Commerce with the General Directorate of Taxation. The event was organized in the framework of the campaign that the Tax Administration has undertaken to inform, raise awareness and encourage businesses to start the most correct implementation of Fiscalization. AmCham President Enio Jaco stressed the importance of this process and the benefits that the business will have with its implementation. He said the process reduces evasion, informality and corruption in the public administration.
For her part, the General Director of Taxes, Delina Ibrahimaj said that the Tax Administration said that every fiscalization reform needs a period of assimilation by guaranteeing all the necessary assistance to companies.
As of January 1, 2021, the first phase of this process has started for cashless transactions between taxpayers and public bodies, only with electronic invoice, B2G. From July 1, 2021, the implementation for cashless transactions between taxpayers, B2B will begin. From September 1, the implementation for taxpayers’ cash transactions, B2C will start.
