Investors mulling 5 star hotels in Albanian Alps: Gov’t sources
After offering a package with fiscal facilities for companies investing in 4 and 5 star accommodation units, the interest of businesses to invest not only in the south of Albania but also in the north has increased.
According to the Ministry of Tourism and the Environment, there has been an increased interest for the area of Albanian Alps.
Ministry sources have pointed out to SCAN that the Alps are now the first touristic plan and there are companies that have sought to invest in the construction of 4 and 5 star hotels, but it still unclear how many businesses have shown interest so far.
One of the problems for investments in these areas remains the infrastructure.
The other day, the Minister of Environment and Tourism Blendi Klosi, stated in the Trade and Production Commission that the Albanian state undertakes the creation of the infrastructure needed to serve strategic investors.
Two are the main pillars pursued by the ministry for funneling tourism in the economy.
First, promoting strategic investors and secondly promoting off-season tourism.
According to the ministry, these two objectives are expected to bring a boom in this sector in our country.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Tourism and Environment is expected to make public its master plan for tourism development on Saturday, including the Alps area.
