KLP officially appoints the head of the “Albanian FBI”

As it was announced yesterday, the High Council of the Prosecution held a virtual meeting this Thursday. According to the official announcement, all members were part of the meeting, including representatives from the Ministry of Justice, EURALIUS and OPDAT.

In the meeting held today, KLP has unanimously appointed the Head of the National Bureau of Investigation, Mrs. Aida Hajnaj.

Mrs. Hajnaj was elected after 8 months of verifications by SPAK, a body that decided to eliminate the other 3 candidates in the race Artur Beu, Ervin Hodaj and Idajet Faskaj.

As of today, BKH, or as it is otherwise known, the “Albanian FBI” will be officially headed by Mrs. Hajnaj. This structure is expected to function as the SPAK police, with a focus on corruption and organized crime.
