Minimum wage increase not satisfactory for both businesses and trade unions
The increase of the minimum wage from ALL 22 thousand to 24 thousand have satisfied neither the business community nor the trades unions.
According to the President of the Albanian Export Center Alban Zusi, this decision has an added cost for the enterprises and it has no market basis.
While, on the other hand, the President of the Confederation of Trade Unions, Kolë Nikolla, states that the proposed level is still low, calling it discriminatory.
Business takes the decision to increase the salaries of employees based on performance, claims Zusi.
Currently, the minimum wage for the calculation of social contributions is ALL 22 thousand per month and since several years it has remained unchanged.
While the level of the minimum wage that the government is expected to approve is ALL 24,000.
