New contract for the Pfizer vaccine – Rakacolli: We need to bring 23,400 doses, which have been granted to us by the COVAX mechanism

The Albanian government will have to sign a new contract with Pfizer, as only in this way can it receive the vaccines of this company for COVID-19, which have been granted by the COVAX mechanism. During the discussions in the Parliamentary Committee on Health, of the Normative Act for the text of the new agreement, Deputy. The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Mira Rakacolli said that currently 23400 Pfizer vaccines have been allocated by the COVAX mechanism, but without the new agreement they cannot come to Albania.

Rakacolli also spoke about the epidemiological situation in the country, which he considered stable.

The government has stated that it intends to inject 1 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine by the end of June.
