New Eurobond oh 500 million euros – Angjeli gives details of entering the international markets: Debt should not be kept out of control

The head of the Parliamentary Committee on Economy and Finance, Anastas Angjeli, gave details on the Eurobond of 500 million euros, which is expected to be issued by the Albanian government. He said that the last discussions are currently taking place, as the plans are to enter the international markets after September.

However, according to Angjeli, the increase of public debt is an instrument that can have a positive impact on coping with the crisis caused by COVID-19, but this does not mean that it should be kept completely out of control.

This will be the 5th Eurobond issued by Albania, while the last was the one of 2020 which reached a value of 650 million Euros against an interest of 3.62%. Part of it was used to finance the previous Eurobond.
