Parliament revises law on job contracts to shorten procedures

The amendments made by the Law Commission have divided into two groups handling of disputes over employment contracts.

Civil servants and employees in the justice system will solve their disputes in administrative courts, while other categories will be taken into consideration at other levels of the judiciary.

Asked by TV SCAN during a media appearance after the adoption of amendments to the draft law on the organization and functioning of administrative courts, socialist MP Vasilika Hysi explained that this division is done to alleviate the high influx of complaints to the courts.

In the last statement as Chair of the Law Commission, shortly before the voting of the decree on his appointment as interior minister, Fatmir Xhafa said that the package of laws requiring qualified majority is closed and is deposited in Parliament.

Earlier, the Law Commission adopted all the amendments to the Criminal Code and to the Code of Criminal Procedure in the Republic of Albania.

The last two draft laws voted on Thursday by members of this committee were changes to the law covering the functioning of administrative courts and administrative disputes, as well as the organization and functioning of the Ministry of Justice.
