Ports “explode” – Instat: The volume of goods exceeds the average of three years!

The volume of goods loaded / unloaded at ports on Mars, has experienced a “record” increase, compared to March 2020. According to the latest data from the Institute of Statistics, in March 2021, 370.8 thousand tons of goods were loaded / unloaded at ports, feeling an increase of almost 46%, compared to the same month of the previous year.

What is noticeable in fact, is that the increase is not only with the pandemic year, but also with the average of March months of the period 2018-2020. Specifically, the volume of goods loaded / unloaded in March 2021 at ports has increased by almost 14%, compared to the average of these 3 years.

Meanwhile, regarding the period January – March 2021, the volume of goods loaded / unloaded at ports has increased by about 15%, compared to the same period of the previous year.
