Profit tax reduction, Rama: This fiscal facility will boost employment

With the entry of new fiscal package, over 11 thousand businesses in Albania will benefit from a reduction in profit tax from ALL 15 million to ALL 5 million a year.

Prime Minister Edi Rama visited one of the entrepreneurs who benefited from this tax cut, who said this convenience will serve him to expand the activity and increase the company’s profit in the future.

“We are honestly feeling well now that the tax on profit has been reduced. I made ALL 100 million per year and paid ALL 15 million. Now we pay ALL 5 million. I will invest more now. I will get more workers. “ – said the entrepreneur.

Rama stated that, among other things, this fiscal facility for business will also be translated with more new jobs, as well as increased salaries of employees in the private sector.

“What is most important, in our view, is that, by facilitating the 3-fold, we give you the opportunity, first, to develop with new investments and I believe, right away, you will think of a new investment for expand, consolidate, and second, increase employment and raise salaries. We need to reduce the number of those who go to university and increase the number of those who go to vocational education and in 2-year professional colleges to become specialists.” – said the prime minister.

The new fiscal package, which came into force at the beginning of this year, also provides facilities for agribusiness and taxation of agricultural inputs.
