Regional Albanian startups gather in Tirana for dedicated fair
A special fair has opened its doors at the Pyramid in Tirana.
The fair involves 33 new business initiatives, namely StartUps, from Albania and Kosovo that have exhibited their products at the fair, which will stay open from May 14 to 16.
The nationwide fair is organized in the framework of the Week of Innovation 2017 by the Minister of State for Innovation and Public Administration and Innovation Hub Tirana.
The opening ceremony of the fair was attended by some of the most successful startup-ups which have already taken the first steps towards becoming successful and profitable businesses.
“We are very pleased that you represent the most dynamic and active part of the society,” said Minister Milena Harito in front of the participants at the fair, taking the floor at the ceremony.
Then, the Innovation Minister addressed the need for expansion of the common market between Albania and Kosovo, which would increase the chances for development of start-ups, and beyond.
“Each one of you operating in this sector knows that we are a small market and that we have to extend our market. Only by cooperating for a wider market, for a joint Albania-Kosovo market, for a regional market, for all of you, we will be able to create more development opportunities,” Minister Harito stressed.
During the three days of the fair, representatives of startups will present their business ideas in various fields such as education, tourism, health, marketing and promotion, art and creativity, media and communication, architecture and transport etc.
