The pandemic, also a cause for “commercial distancing”. Exports to Kosovo fall by 20%
Trade exchanges with Kosovo have fluctuated significantly in this 9-month period of the year. Referring to the latest Instat report, exports from Kosovo have decreased by 20%, compared to the period January – September 2019. According to the report, from 22.6 billion ALL of goods exported to Kosovo in the 9-month period of a year ago. In the same period of this year, Albania exported ALL 4.6 billion less goods.
However, it turns out that September has been a month of recovery, in terms of exports. Goods exported to Kosovo in this month of the year are worth 2.7 billion ALL, at a time when in September 2019, this value was 2.4 billion ALL.
On the other hand, just like exports to Kosovo, imports have also fluctuated. In the period January – September 2019, Albania imported goods worth 5.9 billion ALL from Kosovo, at a time when for the same period this year, the value fell to 5.8 billion ALL. According to the figures, it seems that even in September this trend has not changed, as from 761 million ALL imports in September 2019, the value has gone to 751 million ALL in September 2020.
