Tirana tops construction investments in Albania with 53% of the total amount

The latest data from the Institute of Statistics in Albania show that during the first 9 months of the year construction permits obtained for the entire territory amounted to a preliminary value of ALL 39,471,493.00, at least according to what was stated in the process of application.
This translates to around 300 million euro.
Divided by districts, the data reveal for a very interesting situation.
More than half of this value, around 53% of the total, or ALL 20.8 billion, have been invested in the capital of the country, Tirana.
This rate is almost twice as high as the number of building permits.
In the 9-month period of 2017, only 27% of total building permits were issued in Tirana, ie less than the rate that the capital occupies in the total investment.
However, the fact that more than half of construction money is injected in Tirana comes due to the fact that in the capital are the largest buildings, the labor is most expensive, and the construction quality is the highest.
The second place is held by Fier, with ALL 4.5 billion, or 11% of the total. Then follows Durrës with 8% and Vlora with 7%, or ALL 3.1 billion and 5.5 billion respectively.
Korça follows with ALL 2.3 billion. At the end of the list we have Kukës and Lezha, with 1% and less than 1% of the total, or only ALL 176 million and 136 million respectively.
