Turkish businesses eye Albania for investments

Albania has now entered on the agenda of foreign entrepreneurs as an opportunity to invest.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Tirana, in cooperation with MÜSIAD Balkans, Turkey, organized the business forum “Business Opportunities in Albania”.

The Vice President of Tirana Chamber of Commerce Arben Shkodra said that the business climate has improved and Albania is being seen as a bigger market, or otherwise known as the “Albanian-speaking market” that includes the countries of the region.

“There is an extended interest. Turkey has for some time been the main strategic partner of Albania as far as trade exchange is concerned. There is interest in energy, agriculture, and in the field of services. Turkish companies are very much interested in the Balkans in general, they are now seeing Albania with the same interest”

Approximately 40 entrepreneurs from both countries participated in this activity.

The main interest is in the field of industry, energy and agriculture.

In the Albanian market operate many well-known Turkish companies, which make a big contribution to various sectors of the Albanian economy.
