Urban transport in Tirana – Germany invests 50 million euros in the project for 3 city lines

Germany and Albania have signed an intergovernmental agreement to finance the ‘Green Transport of Tirana’ project in the amount of 50m euros.

The project published by the German Embassy in Tirana is based on an in-depth feasibility study for a fast bus system in Tirana, focusing on the problems encountered in the three main corridors of the capital, namely the east-west line from Kinostudio to Kombinat, Unaza ( the third ring of Tirana) and New Tirana (central and western part of the city) and has as its main objective the promotion of an urban transport service in Tirana which is both environmentally friendly and climate as well as reliable and affordable for the citizens of the capital.
