WB gives EUR 15 million against COVID-19. The money will be used for ass population tests, investments in the hospital system
The World Bank has allocated a sum of 15 million Euros to Albania, in order to help the country prevent, detect and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic and to strengthen the national public health preparedness system. The funding covers a range of interventions to strengthen public health services and minimize the consequences on citizens’ health. Specifically the project will support mass population testing; providing equipment to strengthen contact detection and tracking, investments in healthcare equipment and public laboratories, protective equipment for medical staff, increasing the number of beds in intensive care and strengthening capacity to assess and modify distancing requirements physical.
