200,000 residents benefit from asphalt paving in two segments – The distance from Tirana is shortened two hours
The asphalt pavement of Drago – Kozarë – Kuçovë – Ura Vajgurore and Cërrik – Belsh – Grekan segment has been completed. These segments are part of the Cërrik – Belsh – Kuçovë – Ura Vajgurore road, 37 kilometers connecting the districts of Elbasan and Berat and shortened the distance with Tirana by 2 hours.
Within the next few weeks work will begin on the placement of vertical and horizontal signaling. The road is an investment of the Albanian government implemented by the Albanian Development Fund under the program “Rehabilitation of Priority Road Segments”.
There are about 200,000 residents that benefit directlty from the investment, which creates new opportunities for economic and social development of the entire area.
