Albanian economy may be expanded by $ 500 million in 2019
The world’s economic league plans to expand the Albanian economy by $ 500 million from 2018 to 2019.
So from $ 15.1 billion at current prices to $ 15.6 billion. In 2023, however, this amount is projected to increase by $ 5.5 billion, measured at current prices. By 2028, the Albanian economy will increase almost another 10 billion dollars, while in 2033 it will be worth 46.5 billion dollars or 3 times more than today.
But these accounts are made at current prices, which means they are not stripped of the inflation effect. $ 46 billion in 2033 will not have the same value at $ 46 billion today. Unwrought by inflation, projections speak of something little more than doubling, from $ 15 billion in 2019 to $ 34 billion in 2033.
So, the expansion of the Albanian economy by $ 500 million next year is an unrealistic indicator, as it is not stripped of inflation. Real growth is projected to be at just $ 200 million.
