Business challenges after COVID-19 – 69% will use savings and cut costs to survive
According to the World Bank report, lower demand for goods and services is the biggest challenge businesses are currently facing.
According to the draft, 25 percent of respondents cite a lack of customers as the number one challenge. This demand is more prominent in the service sector with 27 percent and construction 26 percent than in manufacturing with 16 percent or agriculture 17 percent. On the other hand, despite the lack of liquidity as a serious problem facing enterprises in the country, to ensure market continuity, about 69 percent of businesses have planned to use their revenue reserves or cut costs, while only 20 percent plan to take out bank loans as their first option.
On the other hand, supply is not considered as problematic as demand, but the challenges in this regard are related to the difficulty in organizing work activities and reducing productivity at work.
