68 million euros, as part of the loan of 80 million euros that the Albanian government will receive for investments in water supply and sewerage will go directly to the water supply of cities, while the rest for sewerage.

The details were given during the discussion of the loan agreement between the Albanian government and KFW, by the deputy director of the National Water Supply and Sewerage Agency.

These investments aim to improve the water supply and sewerage system, as well as to improve the performance of the water supply and sewerage companies of the municipalities included in the program.

According to the National Strategy of the Water Supply and Sewerage Sector 2020-2030, the government plans to achieve 24-hour water supply throughout the country by 2029, while the total funding required to achieve this objective is estimated at 1.5 billion euros.
