Businesses from neighboring countries urge Albania to ease customs procedures
Albania has still barriers as far as customs are concerned, which do not allow the development of free trade in the region.
This is the comment made by the Macedonian entrepreneur Gëzime Fejzi for SCAN Television, also underlining the importance of facilitating customs procedures, something that would help the further increase of foreign investors interested in investing in Albania.
“Our businesspeople are faced with customs. I think these barriers through these conferences and chambers of commerce must be broken, so that business in Albania and Macedonia continues to flourish. Let’s succeed in achieving a free trade,” Fejzi said.
But despite this, Fejzi stated that doing business in Albania is easier than in Macedonia, because of funding from the government through grants, such as the support of farmers, which according to Fejzi is lacking in the Macedonian state.
