Number of businesses opened during the tourism season in Albania: According to taxes, Saranda led.

Referring to the General Directory of Local Taxes and Fees data, the number of new businesses registered in tourist areas for the period 1 June – 13 August was 1,531 or 58% more than the same period of the previous year.

The figures belong to the new entities registered at the Regional Tax Directory of Durrës, Lezhë, Sarandë, Shkodër and Vlora. Saranda, according to data, recorded the highest growth with about 44% of new businesses open during the analysis period, followed by Lezha with about 33% and  Vlora with about 24% .
