The health budget becomes more ‘healthy’ with a 7.5% increase. Manastirliu: 15 million euro loan from WB, for the situation created by COVID-19
The draft budget of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection for 2021, including coping with the situation created by COVID-19, provides for an increase of 7.5% or 5.8 billion ALL more than in 2020. During the reporting of the Parliamentary Committee on Labor, Social Affairs and Health, Minister Ogerta Manastirliu said that the next year budget will have an additional 5.2 billion ALL to the health sector, while 500 million ALL more are intended for social protection.
Manastriliu said next year’s budget will fund several programs, including check-ups for people aged 35-70 or funding health packages in public and private hospitals.
Meanwhile, regarding coping with the situation created by COVID-19, Manastirliu said that a loan of 15 million euros will be taken from the World Bank.
