What did we import in the last 5 days? List of Customs / Mostly wheat and citrus
In 5 days, during March 12-17, the period when Albania is implementing anti-coronavirus measures, it seems that our country has mostly imported from partner countries, wheat and citrus. According to the detailed data of the General Directorate of Customs, during this period approximately 3927 tonnes of wheat and maize were imported from countries such as Russia, Italy, Hungary. Second in terms of quantity of imported products is fresh or dried citrus.
Citrus fruits include protocols, lemons, tangerines, mulberries and other of this type. It also seems to be dominated by a high amount of corn imports, where it is recorded at around 1307 tons in 5 days, coming mainly from Italy, France, Macedonia, etc.
About 1100 tons of sugar produced from sugar cane or beet have also entered our country. During this period there is a long list of cleared products, from meat to fruits, vegetables as well as flour, oils, coffee, chocolates, etc. The quantity of products purchased by partner countries is mostly related to market demand during a given season and the lack of locally produced products.
