Gov’t approves additional fund for Lin-Pogradec road
Construction works on the Lin-Pogradec road will cost ALL 194 million more than was foreseen in the initial contract.
The Albanian Road Authority has already approved the additional fund for the company that is carrying out the works through a negotiated procedure, ie without prior announcement of the contract notice.
The total value of the initial contract was about ALL 972 million, while the addition of the fund covers the works being carried out near the entrance of Pogradec.
Referring to the data of the Albanian Road Authority, the construction of this segment is about 1 km, while the expansion of the existing road through the “Half-tunnel” or “Open tunnel” structure is also foreseen.
At the end of the construction works, the width of the lanes on this axis will be 3.5 m, the width of the jetty 1 m, while the sidewalk outside the tunnel is expected to have a width of 2 m.
The works on this axis have started in February 2016 and according to the terms of the contract, should be completed in December this year, completing the entire Qafë Thanë-Pogradec road.
