Head of State Police Haki Cako removed from duty
The General Chief of Police, Haki Cako, has been relieved from his duty by order of the Interior Minister, Fatmir Xhafaj.
Cako was replaced by the current Deputy Director of the State Police Rebani Jaupi.
Cako was appointed three years ago to replace outgoing Artan Didi.
The argument used by the Interior Ministry for Monday’s order is that the State Police needs an improved dynamics in the upcoming challenges ahead.
