Public budget 2018 published on Official Gazette, taking effect on January 1
State Budget 2018, the most important financial law in the country, has been published in the Official Gazette taking on the final form and making it effective on January 1 of next year.
According to the accompanying report, the 2018 budget will support economic growth and the ongoing important reforms already underway.
The budget will make possible a substantial economic growth, while public investments focus on infrastructure.
The main budget indicators are revenues for the coming year are forecast at ALL 464.7 billion, or 28.2% of GDP, where their main weight is carried by income from taxes and customs by ALL 317.5 billion.
Then come the revenues from special funds which are at the level of ALL 88 billion, non-tax revenues at ALL 25.7 billion, while revenues from local government are planned to be at ALL 18.7 billion.
According to the law, budget expenditures for the coming year are projected to be ALL 497 billion or 30.1% of GDP.
Even in this budget, the lion’s share is held by current expenditures at ALL 407.9 billion, while capital expenditures are planned at ALL 86.3 billion or 5.2% of GDP.
The entire budget year is projected to be accompanied by a deficit of ALL 32.3 billion, or 2% of GDP.
