The most causes of death in Albania – 17% unknown, 53.5% from the circulatory system, 16% from tumors

According to Eurostat, the main cause of death in the European Union are diseases of the circulatory system, followed by tumors and in third place diseases of the respiratory system. If we take the comparative data of our institute of statistics regarding the causes of death in our country, it turns out that even in Albania, diseases of the circulatory system are the main cause of death, with 53.5% of the total.

This figure is similar to that of countries like Romania, Latvia, Lithuania or Estonia. But, unlike Europe, in second place as the cause of death in our country are undiagnosed symptoms or diseases. Or more precisely, 17.45% of Albanians will not know why they lost their lives. What stands out next by making a comparison with Europe is the wight of tumors in the causes of death of Albanians. With only 16.1% of deaths attributed to tumors, Albania is at the bottom of Europe along with Bulgaria.
