$ 5 million for rapid tests – The Ministry of Health announces tender on behalf of regional hospitals, selection on January 18

Rapid tests to identify the Covid 19 virus will enter Albania early next year. The Ministry of Health has announced the tender for the selection of the company which will ensure their supply.

According to the announcement published on the website of the Public Procurement Agency, the amount made available is slightly lower than 5 million dollars, and the winning company must bring them to Albania within a period of one year, while it seems that they will be distributed to regional hospitals.

More specifically, the object of the contract announced by the Ministry of Health is: “Purchase of rapid antigenic diagnostic tests for SARS-COV-2 for the needs of Local Health Care Units” for a period of 12 months, according to the list approved by the WHO “- Agreement Framework with an economic operator – where all conditions are defined – with a term of 12 months with a limit fund of 496,000,000 (four hundred ninety six million) ALL without VAT.
