Following the Albania – Hungary forum held a few days ago in Tirana, another similar forum was held in the capital between Albania and Turkey, with 22 Turkish companies participating.
The Albania – Turkey business forum was organized by the Albanian Investment Development Agency (AIDA), in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Turkish Chamber of Commerce in Izmir and the Turkish Ministry of Economy.
AIDA’s representatives at the forum made a review of the opportunities that Albania offers to foreign investors, while stressing the institution’s role and assistance in the process of investing in the country.
“The forum saw B2B business meetings between 22 Turkish and Albanian participating companies that operate in two major sectors, such as the IT sector and that of medical equipment,” reads a statement released after the forum.
The purpose of the forum is to promote commercial production in respective sectors, expanding exports and developing business partnerships.
Turkey has become an important trading partner for Albania with its trade turnover being 6 percent. Turkey has invested in Albania’s construction industry and contributed to 15 percent of all foreign investment in the country.
