Albanian exports increased 12.1% in 2017: INSTAT
Exports of Albanian goods reported an increase of 12.1 percent in 2017, according to the Institute of Statistics.
Growth was also report in imports by 8.1 percent over the previous year, compared with the same period of 2016.
The countries with which Albania has had the largest growth of exports over the past year are Italy with 9.9 percent, Kosovo with 26 percent and Spain with 87.5 percent.
Meanwhile, according to INSTAT data, Turkey with -24 per cent, Switzerland with -48 per cent and the Netherlands with -4 per cent are also the countries with which exports have recorded a sharp decline.
As far as imports are concerned, Italy leads the list as one of the countries from which Albania imported more, about 5.7 percent, followed by Turkey with 11.2 percent, and Greece with 9.2 percent.
Meanwhile, with regard to the countries where the imports have had the largest decrease, according to INSTAT are Germany with -7.7 percent, China with -2.6 percent, and France with -4.4 percent.
The data show that trade exchanges with EU member states account for 66.3 percent of all trade.
