Announcement for Albanian citizens in Switzerland: “If you exceed your stay, you will not be penalized”

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced through a post on Facebook that all Albanian nationals who exceed their permitted stay in Switzerland because of the COVID-19 situation will not be penalized.

Until the situation returns to normal, citizens who cannot leave the Schengen Area or Switzerland due to the COVID-19 situation, before the expiry of their visas or residence permits, or the expiry of a 90-day stay without other ways of return are allowed to stay in the Schengen area.

It is recommended that Albanian citizens who are under these conditions report to the cantonal migration offices in the canton where they are staying.
