Footwear and textiles trigger rise in Albanian exports to Italy
Data from INSTAT show that exports to Italy have marked an increase over the same period of last year.
Out of ALL 11,834 million of goods in July 2016, exports increased to ALL 13,784 million in July this year.
This growth also reflects the positive performance of exports throughout the January-July period, with exports reaching ALL 86.417 million, a 7.7% increase compared to the same period a year earlier.
The positive performance of exports seems to have been affected by the Group of Footwear and Textile, which increased by 6.9 percent.
As far as imports are concerned, they have increased too, with their value reaching ALL 17.242 million, compared with ALL 15.610 million that resulted in July last year.
Meanwhile, for the January-July 7-month period, imports have reported a rise, which consequently deepens the trade deficit.
