In 3 months, 1183 new businesses – Tirana / COVID-19, fewer entities closed during January-March
Despite the dire situation created by COVID-19 in the country, in the first 3 months of the year more than 1183 businesses have been added to the capital. According to official data from the General Directorate of Local Taxes and Tariffs (DPTTV) show that for the period January-March 2020, 2157 new main and secondary entities have been opened in the capital, with a slight decrease compared to the same period a year ago. first, where 2572 businesses were opened.
The highest number consists of service activities with 914 such, followed by retail sales where 636 entities have been opened, wholesale sales with 199 entities and free professions 175 businesses. On the other hand, 974 entities in Tirana have “lowered their shutters”, a declining figure compared to the same period a year ago, when 1190 businesses were deregistered.
